 It is easy to understand how Divine Will is the attribute of action, being identical to action. But it is hard to understand how it is not an attribute of essence. The point that bothers me is that Life is an attribute of essence and I cannot think of Life without including Will with it. Can Life be without Will?

Will actually is a quality that can be taken in both ways, as a quality of essence and a quality of action. In essence, it is like love. As a quality of action, it is like a firm decision. It is like knowledge (both a quality of essence and action).
